Hi everyone, Gizzy here with an update. I am not yet studying Esperanto again, because my schedule is really stuffed with school and family life. Our house has been half-way renovated for the better part of 6 months now and its terribly difficult to get to most things since nearly everything is in a box.
Ok, so I know its been a while. I've yet to pick back up my serious study of Esperanto but I've been really busy. Right after I finished Web Design (yes, I finished! You guys didn't doubt me did you?) Then I had about 20 days rest during which I studied up for college and then I started college. The summer session is almost over (Where has all the time gone?!) and I've talked to the SOC Chair (Student Organization Council, I think) at my school and gotten the greenlight to begin working on a club of my own and it was a no brainer on what I was starting my club on...
Sorry everyone to say that I'm officially entering a Hiatus from Esperanto today.
I'm WAAAY behind in a lot of other things, mainly my school work and there is no way for me to finish all my work by the end of May except to throw something things to the side and push on through in school work.
I hate to do it, but schools gotta come first right now. I've been slacking very badly since Spring Break and I cant afford not to complete a total of 16 chapters by May 1, just to get BACK on track to finish in time and start College this summer.
I made a calculation tool (not quite a calculator) in school today. I made it in Esperanto. I want everyone to use it and pass the link around to anyone--no, no, EVERYONE who you can think of that might like to see it.
I'll be updating it to be more "Esperantoj" themed later. But please take a look, play with it, balk at my horrible Esperanto and send the link to any and everyone you know!

Malgranda filmo raporto!
I saw the movie BOLT today. I watched it with my sisters and brothers.
It was an okay movie. I did not like Miley Cyrus as Penny. I think the story
was a little weak, and that a little more work could have made it a good movie.
The song at the end was catchy though.

As a novice Esperantist's one faces many challenges not the least of which is the fact that you've got to practically teach yourself to speak the language. The fact that you've also got to practically build your own curriculum doesn't make the task any easier.
I know, there are a lot of cheap or even free courses out there, such as pakujo's 10-lesson correspondence course, and the many, many, many courses at Lernu.net but how does one go about using them? In what order?
I have been wondering for a few days now about publishing works in Esperanto.
I've checked Esperanto-USA and if there is anything here about publishing, then I missed it. My working knowledge of Esperanto is still very, very limited and so I wont even risk the embarrassment by 'declaring' that the same is true on the UEA site. But I'm just wondering how one would go about publishing something.
Here is some info about me.
My name is Asiya/Asija. (The Esperanto pronunciation of my name is perfect! Ah-See-ya! I love that!). I was born at home in Florida over 19 years ago. I'm the 3rd of 10 kids (7 boys and 3 girls). My oldest brother is 23 years and my youngest brother is 11 months.
I was a big tom-boy growing up; I loved to play video-games, outdoors and in the dirt. I was a very silly child who liked to run, jump, and yell. I liked to watch excitement as much as participate in it.

I'm a 19 year old african-american Floridian who has been interested in Foreign languages since I was little. My mom and dad are both bi-lingual. They learned 2nd languages as adults in college though they both speak them well. Oddly, even though I was homeschooled, my parents didn't make foreign language a priority for us.
