Mi kaj Vido tre ĝuis TKEK 2008, kaj ni dankas al Vilĉjo, Henri, kaj Julie aparte pro ilia laboro.

La etoso estis bonega. Mi ĝuis la prezentadojn, kaj mi tre ŝatis la prezentadon de Henri pri la rikoltado de sekvinberoj.

Mi esperas ke mi povas helpi pli dum la sekvanta TKEK.

Mi esperas, ke cxiuj, kiuj povas ecx iomete kanti aux ludi muzikinstrumentojn, kaj kiuj logxas ne tro for, cxeestos TKEK 2008.

Se vi intencas cxeesti, mi petas, bonvolu kunporti viajn plej sxatatajn kantojn, aux en nia kara lingvo, aux en aliaj lingvoj. Dum la Interkonatigxa vespero, mi volas fari liston de ili. Mi alportos la malnovajn kantlibrojn de Lusi, cxar mi volas helpi sxin eldoni novan kantlibron.

Mi kaj Vido ĵus revenis de "Consonance", la scienc-fikcia muzika konferenco, kiun okuris ĉe la Crowne Plaza Milpitas, kien TKEK okuros je Aprilo.

Mi piediris al la restaŭracioj apud la hotelo, kaj vidis mirindan grupon de ili. La manĝajo estas ĉefe ĉina, japana, kaj singapora/malaya. Ekzistas ankaŭ granda "supermarket" kun "hot deli" kaj "bakery".

Ankaŭ, ni manĝis je la hotela restaŭracioj, kaj ili estas ankaŭ bonaj, laŭ ni.

Mi tre bedauxras ke mi malsxparis la spacon kaj tempon de la esperantistoj.

Kiel tedega estas mia "artikolo", kiun mi jxus legis en E-USA. Dum NASK, mi certe skribis pli interesajn *hejmtaskojn*.

I don't know which is more pathetic; that I wrote it, or that E-USA was desperate enough to print it.

In an issue with such a great article honoring Don, I feel like my "contribution" really ruined the tone.

It would have been far better to use that space to expand on nearly anything or anyone else. Sorry, everybody. This is NOT what I would have wanted, believe me.

Saluton, amikoj! Mi lernas nun cxe NASK. Jam nun, mi ne flue parolas, se mi skribas pli kaj auxskultas ege pli, kaj komprenas nun pli ol antaux.

Bob (je la Stanford-a grupo) pruntedonis al mi la novan DVD-n "Electronic Esperanto". Mi "Norton Antivirus-is" ĝin (dum ses horoj) kaj poste mi uzis ĝin. Ĝi estas tre uzebla, kaj mi vere ĝuas ĝin. Nun mi intencas aĉeti kelkajn kopiojn kaj doni ilin al miaj junaj parencoj. La DVD havas vortarojn, kursojn, fotojn, ludojn, kantojn, ktp, kaj ĉio estas bone farita, laŭ mi.

Tamen, al mi pli ŝatas libroj, ĉar mi povas esti kuŝanta en mia lito kiam mi legas ĝin, eĉ dum mi malsanas. Ankaŭ mi opinias, ke libroj kutime kuras malpli rapide ol mi, do, mi povos facile kapti ilin.

On 5 June 2006 at a private school in Redwood City, California, USA, I taught three 90-minute classes of 25 to 30 students each about Esperanto. This was a one-day word fair, with lots of presenters on different topics, and was mostly meant to be fun for the kids. The 3rd and 4th grade, the 5th and 6th grade, and the 7th and 8th grades comprised the three groups.

Enrique Ellemberg was able to be there and help with all three sessions; he helped move the huge alphabet-learning apparatus, watched over my pronunciation, and helped monitor the kids when they separated into smaller groups to translate (yes, they actually were able to read the simple penpal messages in JunAmiko; the 7th and 8th graders even wrote some simple sentences of their own).

I enjoyed TKEK immensely. Read on if you want to know why.

My favorite presentation was the HP dramatic reading. Laŭ mi, the most informative was the nanotechnology presentation, and the most inspiring was the one that included information on the CSEH method. (Have you noticed already that, only one day after, I can't remember anyone's names? Welcome to my central nervous system, and good luck.)

Best public fun and food was the picnic; next year I'll bring my musical instruments. Best private fun was the sherry and biscuits party. It was nice just to sit up late with friends and talk about everything and anything. Best non-USA food was the *lunch* Vido and I had at Little Prague; goulash and dumplings, yum!

Ailanto's post of the link to the article from the Australian linguist intrigued me; not only is it well written, but it includes stuff about my favorite Esperanto musician. I first heard of Kimo (Kim J. Henriksen) when I did two all-peace music programs late at night on KFJC. I did the breaks in Esperanto, and my admittedly feeble effort was picked up by Scott Redd (of Radioarkivo.org) and Floreal Martorell (of Vinilkosmo.com). I ordered a batch of CDs from the ELNA catalog, and did one four-hour all-Esperanto music show! Whether you speak much Esperanto yet or not, please go check those sites out if you like music. Ĝis!
