Prelude to Forthcoming Posts
Saluton, karaj!
It's been a very long time since I've posted and I do apologize for that. I now have very much to talk about and you'll be seeing at least three posts after this one. Just to get the updates out and clue you in on how I'm thinking, here are the main points.
* The Esperanto@UIUC club at University of Illinois had a very successful semester and is primed, I think, to have an explosively awesome few months ahead of it. We've got a host of dedicated, energetic people and a lot of ideas. In my post I'll talk about aspects which made the group so successful, in hopes that we can help other groups as well.
* USEJ: Let's get it up and running. It is entirely my fault that nothing has been done to bring the youth Esperantists in the US together. I have some thoughts on projects and meetings, which will soon be discussed in a post and hopefully fleshed out with all your help. :-)
* E-USA: I am ridiculously excited for the LK this year, as I recently found out it is going to be tricky but feasible to bring my club to DC. There also has been call for a Midwest mini-congress, which I fully support and want to put into effect during early spring. I'd like to see some regular Skype meetups with various topics, speakers, etc. You're a great bunch and I miss you dearly! Perhaps we can have Local Groups organize Skype meetups and other events with eachother. Putting that into action is, of course, the tricky bit. One more thing in particular: Pasporto al la Tuta Mondo. I want to get a hard copy of the DVDs and other materials and make it into perhaps a computer program or a website where the video can be presented alongside the text of the dialogue. It shouldn't be hard. I just love that program and want it more accessible, especialy to the tech-savvy crowd of my peers. I could probably slip a Computer Science major a $20 and he'd whip up at least a prototype of it. :-P
Hope all of your holidays are going well and tune in for more next week!
Darsi
Edit: I love the redesign of the site. With great, bubbly tech love. Dreamy sigh.

Pasporto
BTW: I think you mean "Pasporto al la Tuta Mondo" rather than "Pasporta Servo". You should get in touch with Lusi Harmon, if you want to talk about Pasporto. You might also touch base with Robert Read, who was the one who persuaded Lusi to allow the videos to be posted at Youtube.

Great news!
I'm happy to hear that there's so much enthusiasm from you and your local group about all things E-USA-related. We're looking forward to your continued updates!
