La forpaso de Claude Piron, 1931-2008

Kun granda malĝojo ni ekscias, ke la mondo perdis grandan verkiston kaj grandan amikon, Claude Piron. Liaj verkoj, liaj konsiloj pri la rilato kun neesperantistoj, liaj prelegoj, lia amikema maniero donis multe al la movado kaj al niaj ĝuoj kaj agadoj. Lia forpaso estas granda perdo, kaj ni memoros lin ĉiame.

Kia perdo, kiu frapis nin subite.

Kiam mi komencis legi "Gerda Malaperis" kiel komencanto, mi sentis min mem en la rekonto. Tio estis la unua libro, en kiu mi sentis la veran ĉeestecon kun la homoj en la rakonto: Bob, Tom, kaj Linda. Tiam mi ekkomprenis, ke Esperanto estas riĉa lingvo, kiel aliaj lingvoj, kaj eble eĉ pli riĉa ol aliaj lingvoj. Multaj homoj legas liajn verkojn, spektas la filmon "Gerda Malaperis" de Brazilo, kaj nun eĉ vidas bonegan prelegon ĉe youtube.

En Gerda Malaperis, ĉapitro ok Linda pensis: "Ĉu mi sekvu lin al la urbo? Ĉu mi sekvu lin en la urbon? Ĉu mi sekvu lin en la urbo?"

Tiuj simplaj pensoj instruis min, kiel komencanton. Ili metis min pli forte en la pensoj de Linda. Tio donis al mi senton de la gravecon de la situacio, en kiu Linda subite troviĝis. La etaj ŝanĝoj en la demandoj montris al mi, ke Linda devas pensi pri kiel kuraĝa ŝi estu por sekvi lin, kaj finfine ŝi devis fari ĉion por sekvi tiun malbonulo. Tiajn punktojn Claude Piron verkis por komencantoj, samptempe kaj por instrui kaj por distri. Claude Piron estis aparte brila verkisto por komencantoj sed ankaŭ lia aliaj verkoj meritas legadon.

Mi aŭskultis la prelegojn de Claude Piron per Pola Radio. Ni ofte diskutis lin ĉe nia loka grupo, la Esperanto-Klubo de Norda Teksaso.

Ni, multaj samideanoj, estas en unu unuiĝinta koro por senti la malĝojigan forpason de Claude Piron.

S-ro Piron, ni ofte uzas viajn utilajn verkojn. Restu en paco, kaj sciu, ke ni memoras vin.

The passing away of Claude Piron

The passing away of Claude Piron, 1931-2008.

With great sadness we learn that the world has lost a great writer and great friend, Claude Piron. His works, his advice about the relations with non-Esperanto speakers, his speeches, and his friendly manner gave much to Esperanto in the world today and to our joys and activities. His passing is a great loss. We will always remember him.

What a loss that hit us suddenly.

When I began to read "Gerda Malaperis" as a beginner I felt myself embedded in the story. That was the first Esperanto book, in which I felt myself with the people in the story, with Bob, Tom, and Linda. Then I began to realize, that Esperanto is a rich language, perhaps even richer than other languages. Many people read his works, watch the film "Gerda Malaperis" from Brazil, and now even see him on youtube.

In Gerda Malaperis, chapter eight Linda thought: "Ĉu mi sekvu lin al la urbo? Ĉu mi sekvu lin en la urbon? Ĉu mi sekvu lin en la urbo?"
(Should I follow him to the city? Should I follow him into the city? Should I follow him in the city?) (after he is in the city).

Those simple thoughts taught me as a beginner. They put me deeply into the thoughts of Linda. It gave me a sense of importance about the situation that Linda found herself in. The tiny changes in the questions showed me that Linda was thinking about how daring she would have to be to follow him, and finally she had to do all of it to follow the suspect. Claude Piron wrote those points for beginners both to teach and to entertain. Claude Piron is an especially brilliant writer for beginners, but his other works are also worthy reading material.

I listened to his speeches on Radio Poland. We often discuss him in our local club, the Esperanto Club of North Texas.

We, the many of the world's Esperanto speakers, are of one united heart in feeling the sadness of the passing of Claude Piron.

Mr. Piron, we often use your works. Rest in peace, and know that we remember you.
