Just waiting to get the camera rolling again

When I first began studying Esperanto in 2005, my hope that was that I would be able to create something with it — say new movies or the like. I did finally create one video short last year, in response to the financial crisis involving certain U.S. banking giants deemed "too big to fail," among other things.

I have been hoping to capitalize on the elation of accomplishment, by getting another quickie made and streaming this Spring. I'd still love to get it made, but interest among my friends just isn't there right now. And, yes, you can attribute some of that to the current joblessness and any other ills you'd care to name.

So for now, I'm sitting (not literately) on my gear and blank tapes and waiting for my friends to feel confident enough to act silly for the camera (that's the basic idea for the video).

Maybe this October — a year after I turned my camera on the sea of humanity flowing with their shopping bags through New York's Times Square?
