Ĉi tiu estas utila libreto kiu instigas al la novulo konatiĝi kun la Vikipedio (ĉxefe la Esperanta) kaj lerni mem krei kaj redakti artikolojn en ĝi.

La libreto ĉefe prezentas tri partojn. "Kial kunlabori pri Vikipedio?" (al kiu mi aldonus la enkondukon) informas pri tio, kio estas Vikipedio, iom pri ĝia historio, la filozofio de Vikipedio, kaj la kialoj por partopreni en la Esperanta Vikipedio. Ĉefa parto de la libreto estas "Kiel redakti paĝon", kiu mem havas du partojn ("bazaj reguloj" kaj "praktike kunredakti"), en kiu oni klarigas la detalojn de la redaktado. Fine, "La vikipedia komunumo" donas kelkajn el la reguloj por funkcii en Vikipedio-lando.

Ĉefa manko por mi estis la fakto, ke sur paĝo 19 oni montras la redaktan ilaron, sed ne klarigas la funkciojn de la diversaj butonoj (kvankam sur paĝo 21 oni montras multajn kodojn, kiuj verŝajne provizas samajn funkciojn).

Libro rekomendinda se vi (kiel mi) iam havis ambicion partopreni en la Esperanta Vikipedio sed iom timis salti en la akvon senprepare.

This is a useful booklet which encourages the newcomer to get acquainted with the Wikipedia (mainly the one in Esperanto) and learn how to create and edit articles in it yourself.

The booklet mainly offers three parts. "Why Collaborate on the Wikipedia?" (to which I would add the introduction) gives information about what Wikipedia is, somewhat of its history, the Wikipedia philosophy, and the reasons for participating in the Esperanto Wikipedia. The main part of the booklet is "How to Edit a Page", which itself has two parts ("basic rules" and "practical editing in cooperation"), in which the details of editing are explained. Finally, "The Wikipedia Community" gives some of the rules for operating in Wikipedia-Land.

A main failing for me was the fact that on page 19 the editing toolbar is shown, but the functions of the various buttons are not explained (although on page 21 many codes, which apparently provide the same functions, are shown).

A book worth recommending if you (like me) sometimes have the ambition of participating in the Esperanto Wikipedia but are afraid to jump into the water.
