WFMU honors Alberta Casey

The celebrated free–form radio station WFMU-FM recently honored Alberta Casey as part of the station's
365 Days Project.

Just for the record: WFMU, based in Jersey City, N.J., is probably one of the most eclectic radio stations in the world. They are especially notable for unearthing all sorts of obscure vinyl and tapes that wouldn't make it elsewhere on the non–commercial side of the dial.

For the record {ahem}, WFMU's "Buffy Budz" (?) called Ms. Casey's work "a testament to the beauty of the Esperanto language as spoken by San Diego natives."

Definitely have a listen.

Did anyone actually like it?

I downloaded all the tracks for my mp3 player and had a listen on my way to work.

To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement.

I hope that none of their listeners took that as representative of the quality of music to be had in Esperanto.

Yes, I (actually) liked it, why wouldn't I?

Ms. Casey is one of my favorite singers!
