Closed Captions for Esperanto

I borrowed a video from youtube and I added Esperanto closed captioning to it. You can see it here.

(Unfortunately, the site is pretty slow. I recommend just letting it load for a minute before you watch it.)

It's not an easy process as the timing must be exactly right. I'm pretty proud of it. It took about two hours to get the timing of the captions just right.

Where did everyone go?

I miss the way many of the regular bloggers here at E-USA used to visit my blog and make comments. My blog at wordpress is very successful, having visitors now from over 52 different countries. I believe I'm progressing every day because I visit Chatonik chatroom and chat every day.

A great place for speaking Esperanto

I have discovered an excellent chatroom for speaking Esperanto at Chatonik. It's a chatroom that uses text, microphone, and webcam communication. Some days there are more than 15 people in there at once from all over the world speaking Esperanto! In order to speak, you must have a microphone and press the button "hand up" and then you can speak. Everyone takes turns, so it's like a CB radio. Or simply drop in and listen and text chat in E-o, but it's much more fun to participate with the microphone. :)

Ĉi tiu blogero havas multe da idiotismoj en la Angla versio. Tial, mi devis ŝanĝi la Esperantan version iom, por ke ĝi estu komprenebla por eksterlandanoj. Kaj la Angla kaj la Esperanta versioj havas ligojn al Wikipedia/Vikipedio por klarigi iom da la vortoj kaj Anglismoj.
