Same longe parolis la vic-estro de UNO, Kiyo Akasaka, pri Peter Ginz, emfazante novan instru-materialon kiu iros kun la filmo Lasta Flugo de Petr Ginz (baldau' haveblaj en cxiuj oficialaj lingvoj de UNO). La cxefa evento okazis pasint-vendrede, 27an de januaro.

Dum 2 monatoj estos ekspozicio pri Petr en la koridoroj de UNO. Oni montris la filmon, Lasta Flugo de Petr Ginz dum pasinta merkredo antau' tri-cent homoj. Nijl intervenis, inter alie, montrante literaturan libron de la patro, Ota Ginz, en Esperanto.

Mi ne plene scias la respondon. Kredeble de 2007 li nomis kanton au' albumon Esperanto. Multaj Muzik-grupoj nomas sin Esperanto au' Esperanto Duo ktp, sed neniam antau'e mi trovis individuon kiu prenis la nomon Esperanto. Lau' NPR li estas ankau' profesoro en Pittsburgh.

Ege vigla juna esperantististino, precipe per la reto kaj en Brazilo, sed jam kun 4 jara restado en Houston/Usono, kapabla en angla kaj portugala, informistino, Renata Ventura, pasigis tagon kun 3 esperantistoj kaj 2 ĵurnalistoj. Ŝi eklernis Esperanton en Usono.
Renata venis por kelkaj tagoj en usono kaj jam informis Nijl pri ŝia plano veni al Novjorko kun amiko, Rafael, antau' kelkaj monatoj.
Nijl lernis dum la intervjuo ke Renata sentis multe pli parolema, tuj post lernado de Esperanto, kontraste kun fakto ke ŝi estis silentema dum 4 jaroj de mez-lernejaj kaj universitataj studoj en Usono, per la angla. Ŝia patro laboris en Usono por la brazila ŝtat-benzin-entrepreno, Petrobras. Ne estas la unua fojo Nijl au'dis pri liberiga efiko de Esperanto.
La renkontiĝo okazis la 20an de Aprilo, merkrede.
As many activists know, a small office exists at 777 UN Plaza, New York, to present the usefulness of Esperanto, to Non-governmenal Organizations seeking relations with the UN and with UN officials themselves.
With the support of Humphrey Tonkin for decades, quality Zamenhof Symposia have occurred. I have enjoyed co-organizing the last two events which were attended by 75 participants each . Several journalists participated, including one from the New York Times. Earlier conferences included many UN translators, noting that the head of UN Translation Services, Francoise Cestac, encouraged their participation. She co-organized many of our December events and was in the audience for the last two events, in 2009 and 2010. (She has retired from her high-ranking UN position.) George Soros' recent participation is now well-known.

I remember that Zamenhof wanted to create a list of friends of Esperanto, who might learn it if so many people signed. Can we just get thousands of Esperanto speakers to sign this petition and indicate their country? It's a big task and I'm impressed with the present number and diversity but let's get into the thousaands. Of course we'll only get a few percent of us. Intelligent people will know the difficulty of this task.

Melinda kaj mi vidis la programon Utopio en Kvar Movimentoj, kontentis pri la minuto ricevita paroli publike kaj kredas ke estos pozitiva efiko. Mi disdonis preskau' cent informilojn antau' la programo.
Jam hodiau' The Kitchen, kun 150 segxoj, estis plene vendita por la tri spektakloj.
Mi ankorau' ne certas kiuj esperantistoj iros je la venonta por cxiuj tri tagoj. (Laboristoj toleras ke dek homoj sidu sur kuseno sur planko--se vi enligstigxas kaj atendas unu horon antau' la komenco.)
Ankau' la kosto de 15 dolaroj po bileto ne estas multe, komparante aliajn similajn programojn en Novjorko.
