La unua jara reta slam-stila poezideklama konkurso

Ni alvokas vin por partorpeni en RETSLAMO-1, kiu eble estos la unua internacia, reta, poeziodeklamo konkurso en la internacia lingvo, cxe la Landa Kongreso de ELNA en Novjorko, Novjorkio, Usono, 21a gxis 23a de Julio.

La reguloj de la konkurso estas jene:

• La poezio estas la celo; la poentoj ne estas la celo.
• Estos kvin jugxontoj, elektitaj de mi mem el la tiamaj auxskultantoj cxe la Kongreso.
• Cxiu jugxonto donos inter nulo kaj dek poentojn por cxiu deklamo. La jugxonto skribos la jugxon sur montrata karto, kaj mi publiki registros ilin. La jugxonto rajtas jugxi per iu ajn kriterio ili deziras.
• Oni rajtas konkursi vive aux per antauxsenditaj MP3-sondosieroj. La limdato por MP3-aj konkursontoj estas la 14a de Julio.
• Unu poento estos forigenda po dek sekundoj pli ol 3 minutoj de la deklamo.
• La plejalta kaj malplejalta jugxpoentoj estos forigitaj.
• Oni ne rajtas uzi muzikilojn aux iu ajn ilon aux sonon krom tio, kion oni povas krei per sia propra korpo.
• Oni rajtas teni mane sian tekston.
• Estos du kategorioj: originalaj verkoj, kaj deklamoj de neoriginalaj verkoj. Originala auxtoro de poemo rajtas deklami gxin en la originala kategorio, ecx se gxi estis antauxe publikigita. Prezentajxo far iu kiu ne estas originala auxtoro devas esti en la neoriginala kategorio.
• Mi rajtas forigi neoriginalan kategorion se ni havas multegajn kandidatojn en la originala kategorio.
• Kiam vi deklaros vian intencon konkursi, mi registros vian nomon kaj daton. Mi rajtas fermi la konkurson al novaj konkursontoj pro tro da partoprenantoj.
• En la konkurso, la ordo de konkursanto estos elektata per loterio.
• Oni rajtas submeti gxis tri poemojn.
• Mi akceptos donacojn por esti la premioj. Mi anoncos kaj lauxebleco ankaux donos premion la unua, dua, kaj tria ranguloj laux poentoj.
• Antauxvidu ke la jugxontoj drinkos. Antauxvidu ke iom da la jugxontoj estos komencantoj.

Por kandidatigi poemon interrete, nur kreu sondosieron en MP3-formato laux la reguloj kaj retpostu gxin al mi (read cxe robertlread punkto net). Se vi kandidatigos sondosieron, vi akceptu ke mi rajtas havebligi gxin interrete. Bv. ankaux sendi al mi tekston, kaj indiki cxu vi donas al mi permeson havebligi la tekston interrete.

Call for participation: RETSLAMO-1

The first annual internet poetry slam in Esperanto

We call you to participate in the RETSLAMO-1, which perhaps will be the first ever international, internet-based poetry declamation competition in Esperanto, at the nationol convention of ELNA in New York, New York, USA, July 21st through 23rd.

The rules of the competition are:

• The poetry is the point; the points are not the point.
• There will be five judges, chosen by myself from the then-present audience at the Congress.
• Every judge will give between zero and ten points for each declamation. The judges will write the score on cards, and I will publicly record them. The judges may use whatever criterion they wish for assigning the points.
• One may compete either in person or by means of previously sent in MP3 sound file. The deadline for the MP3s will be July 14th.
• One point will be taken away for each ten seconds more than three minutes of the presentation.
• The highest and lowest score will be thrown out and not counted.
• A competitor may not use a musical instrument or any other prop or sound beyond what they can produce with their own body.
• If you are competing in person at the Congress, you may have the text of your poem in hand.
• There will be two categories: original works, and declamation of non-original work. An original author of a poem may perform it in the original category, whether or not it has been published before. A performance by anyone other than an original author must be in the non-original category.
• I reserve the right to cancel the non-original category if we get a huge number of original works.
• When you declare your intention to compete live or send me your MP3, I will record your name and the date. I reserve the right to close the competition to new competitors if an unworkable number of entries are recieved.
• The order of the performances of the poems in the competition will be determined by lot.
• One may submit at most three poems.
• I will accept donations of money to give prizes to the poets in the original works category. I will announce the first, second, and third place winner in each category, and distribute the prize money, if any to them.
• Expect that the judges will be drinking. Expect that some of the judges will be beginners.

To submit a poem via the internet, just create a sound file in the MP3 format according to the rules and e-mail it to me: (read at robertlread dot net). If you send in a sound file, you accept the condition that I have right to make it available via the internet to promote Esperanto and, hopefully, the next years competition. Please also send me the written text or your poem, and indicate whehter or not you give me permission to publish it on the internet.

Please send this announcement to whoever you think might be interested in it. We want world-wide participation!
