In the 18th Century of the Current Era, Highlander Scots began emigrating to the New World in large numbers. Many, if not most, were forced to leave in what has become known as the Highland Clearances. One of the results of this diaspora is that there are now more sons and daughters of Scotland in the United States and Canada than in Scotland itself.
Esperanto-usa offers a free 10-lesson postal course which does an excellent job of getting people started on their esperantic journey. But it shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody that the postal course doesn't cover every aspect of Esperanto grammar. Yes, there are only 16 rules, but applying those rules is not always trivial. Yes, Esperanto is the easiest language in the world to learn, but it's still a living language and cannot and should not be treated trivially.
I noted today that the creation of the Esperanto Association of North America is listed in the Anarchists' Calendar for September 7, 1908. Below is an excerpt from the Calendar. I continue to be amazed every day.
1908: Esperanto Association of North America is organized, Chautauqua Lake, NY. Anarchists around the world have long been ardent proponents of the movement. Early groups were founded in Stockholm (1905) & Paris (1906). Among better-known adherents are Pa Chin, Paco-Libereco Group, etc.

A common argument against using Esperanto as an international language is that “everybody already speaks English.” Not only is that not true, but even the pilots who jet you away to your exotic foreign port o' call may not be able to speak it.

I'm looking for hot female archers for a Viking Funeral segment I'm producing in San Francisco as part of an eco show for the Discovery Network. Women will be dressed in Viking costume and must shoot flaming arrows with great accuracy. Filming will occur in mid April.

La Unua Duaviva Universala Konferenco de Esperanto.
Dum la 6an kaj 7an de Octobro, 2007, okazis la unua universala konferenco ĉe la virtuala mondo, Second Life. Ni faris same, kiel oni faras ĉe konferencoj en la reala mondo. Ni kaj babilis, kaj dancis kaj ĉeestis prelegojn kaj ekskursis.
La afero estas la rezulto de la laboro de dano, Erick Nykvist. Fakte, tio estas la nomo de lia avataro. Aliuloj helpis lin, sed li estis la gluo, kiu tenis kune la diversajn partojn de la afero. Sinjoro Nykvist faris mirinde.
Mi ne estas politikisto, do kredeble mi eraras. Mi esperas, ke mi eraras.
Ŝajnas al mi, ke partioj estas la vivo kaj la morto de politiko en Vaŝingtono. Esperantistoj en orienta eŭropo, azio kaj aŭstralio ne partoprenis pro la horo - 20:00 GMT. Hor-regionoj estas la kosto, por loĝi sur sfera planedo.
Mi jam estis parolanta de ĉi tiu temo ekde la FAA ŝanĝis la regulojn de riparejoj, kiuj komercas laŭ ĉapitro 14 de CFR (Kodo de Federalaj Reguloj) Parto 145. La reguloj estis ŝanĝitaj specife permesi alilandajn riparejon fari ĉefajn konservadajn agojn. Mi jam prognozis procesojn farotajn de travivantoj kaj familioj de aviadaj akcidentoj, kiuj havas konservadajn kaŭzojn. Mi ankoraŭ subtenas tiun prognozon.
Ankaŭ, estas dirinda, ke alilandaj riparejo ne ĉiam havas la samajn regulojn por malkovri drog-misuzadon kaj kontraŭleĝajn agadojn, kiel en Usono. Feliĉa penso, ĉu?
